Our Story

Field Trip Jerky is a fast growing brand formed by 3 friends out of a NYC apartment in 2010 who saw a need to transform meat snacks alternatives in a broken marketplace after tasting their first craft jerky on the ski slopes in Vermont. Field Trip saw the need for healthier protein-rich snacks that didn’t sacrifice quality and taste. Field Trip is a health lifestyle brand aimed at providing delicious and versatile snacks that complement a large variety of on-the-go consumers. Today, Field Trip offers a robust line of meat snacks as well as a new plant based protein chickpea butter line.

Meet Tom
Tom focuses on marketing and brand development to ensure that Field Trip customers become Field Trip fans. He keeps his eye out for potential partnerships with brands that align with Field Trip’s aspirational mission. Tom's interest in hiking and outdoor activities was key to the brand direction and focus on national parks. When he’s not working, Tom enjoys traveling with his wife and two sons, rock climbing, trail running and hiking with his brother and BBQing for family and friends (pork shoulder on the green egg).
Meet Matt
Matt is an integral part of developing new flavors of jerky and editing the products accordingly to ensure our Best Taste Guarantee for every Field Trip customer. Matt is most proud of the Everything Bagel jerky, which only took 31 rounds of R&D! When he’s not working, he loves staying active with his two kids (Call out C&B), climbing at the Fairfield Rock Gym, and skiing the Wasatch Mountains in Utah.
Meet Scott
Scott’s top priority is tending to the team to make sure that all Field Trip team members love showing up to work each day. He also oversees the hard-working Ops team to ensure that all ingredients and materials arrive on time for each production run and to make sure all vendors are paid accordingly. Scott’s a family guy who loves woodworking and home renovation projects, entertaining and cooking, and spending time with his wife, boys and dog. Scott recommends spending time in the Catskills—and exploring the surrounding trails and streams.
