They tell you every journey begins with a single step, and it’s true. What they don’t tell you is that they’re a lot of steps after that. Any journey worth taking is long, and at times exhausting, so you better pack smart. Field Trip Jerky has the protein and energy to get you to the next waypoint or milestone. Add in your own skills and instincts and suddenly your long, hard journey looks a lot more like a walk in the park.
Yep, you guessed it. I’m the OG round here. The first flavor. The leader of the pack. Numero uno in this lineup. The original one. I go way back—like 2010 back. Since I’m hickory smoke with a black pepper and brown sugar marinade—I’ll always be delicious, no matter what. I’m what you call “an instant classic.” If I had an astrological sign, I’d be the star of this show. They’ve kept me around front and center all these years for one simple reason—because you never mess with perfection. Get out there. Be original.
People definitely struggle deciding which side of me they like better. Some love me because I’m sweet, some love me because I’m tangy. Sounds crazy I know, but It’s just how I was raised. My ol’ man was a Southern pig rancher who married a Canadian maple farmer, so it makes sense that I’d turn out to be a perfect blend of the two. But no matter how you like it, one bite and I bet we’re going to be best friends. Get Out There. Be Contradictory.
Everything I do, I do with passion. I’m made with five different types of pepper, honey, garlic, and other flavors I dare not say. Do you like my ingredients? Do they excite you? An evening with me is like dinner for two in Barcelona, while the world’s greatest mariachi band plays the most romantic song live in your mouth. So try me if you dare, but be prepared to feel the heat. Get Out There. Be Spicy.
For me, nothing beats a long walk down by the shore. The salty smell of the ocean, the crashing of the waves, it’s so relaxing, you know. I try to recreate that feeling with my savory mix of spices and flavors. So the next time you’re feeling tired or stressed out and can’t make it down to the ocean, spend some time with me instead. Listen real close I bet you can even hear the seagulls. Get Out There. Be Original.
Time to kick things up a notch. For me, there’s only one way, and that’s straight ahead, no stops, no detours. I’m your go-to on those long drives or during a late-night cram session, when you need a shot of garlic, black pepper, and rosemary to get you back on track. Our time together is going to be a lot of things, but I promise it won’t be boring. Get Out There. Be Authentic.
What’s so special about my home country of Italy? Is it the art, the culture, or the jerky? (Hint: All the above). My sumptuous mix of peppers, paprika, and spices is the closest you’ll come to an Italian getaway without booking a trip to the Mediterranean. Why, if I’d been around 500 years ago, Michelangelo would have sculpted David out of me. The sculpture wouldn’t have lasted as long—but it definitely would have tasted better. Get Out There. Be Bold.
I know one thing about being sweet, and tad spicy—everything. What can I say? I’m a dual personality. It’s just who I am, who I’ve always been. From the very beginning. I’m just sweet from natural honey with an aged cayenne finish. But, don’t get it twisted. Even though my sweet side outweighs my spicy side, I’m still bold and even quite beefy. Tender, sweet, and totally savory—that’s me, Honey Spice. Get Out There. Be bold.
In my formative years, back in Kyoto, I was a world-renowned hibachi chef par excellence—differentiating myself from all the rest by using pineapple as my secret weapon. Yep, I was the chef in the white apron and tall paper hat, slicing and dicing meats at lightning speeds, all while balancing a Samurai sword on the tip of my tongue—blindfolded. And trust me when I tell you, no one sets an onion volcano up in flames like I do. I’m a master. Get out there. Be excellent.
